Case study · Vercel

Vercel cut weekly ops meetings by 62% and consolidated vendor approvals into one system.

Headquarters · San Francisco, CA  ·  Industry · Frontend cloud  ·  On OpoSoft since · Q1 2024

The problem

By the start of 2024, Vercel's operations team was running its recurring cadence across four disconnected surfaces: a wiki, two spreadsheets, an approvals inbox, and a project board. Weekly ops meetings were a 6.4-hour scrub to consolidate state before anyone could decide anything, and vendor approvals sat in a thread of DMs that nobody could confidently audit six weeks later.

What changed

OpoSoft became the single system of record for two of the highest-friction recurring workflows at Vercel: weekly ops review and vendor procurement. The team kept Linear as the engineering work-record and continued using Slack for conversation; both feed OpoSoft natively, so the operations view is now assembled from them rather than maintained by hand.

The numbers

  • 6.4h → 2.4hweekly ops-meeting time, by the end of Q2 2024
  • ~5 days → ~1 daymedian vendor approval cycle, measured over 90 days
  • 1system of record for ops review and vendor procurement

“We stopped rebuilding the same status page every Monday. OpoSoft holds the workflow state, Linear holds the engineering state, and we hold the meeting for an hour instead of a day.”

Case study · Mercury

Mercury standardized cross-functional handoffs and shortened quarterly planning by three weeks.

Headquarters · San Francisco, CA  ·  Industry · Banking & fintech infrastructure  ·  On OpoSoft since · Q3 2023

The RevOps team at Mercury runs the seam between sales, customer success, and finance at the boundary of every quarter. Before OpoSoft, each boundary had its own ritual, its own template, and its own audit trail; assembling the quarterly plan meant reconciling all three inside one meeting series.

OpoSoft now holds the canonical handoff record for every account moving between teams. Mercury continues to use Salesforce as the CRM of record and HubSpot for marketing; OpoSoft reads from and writes back to both, so handoffs surface where the operators already work rather than in a parallel tool.

Case study · Ramp

Ramp built its first ops layer on OpoSoft and shipped a live workflow in 8 days.

Headquarters · New York, NY  ·  Industry · Corporate cards & spend ops  ·  On OpoSoft since · Q4 2024

Ramp's operations org is relatively young, which was the point: the leadership team wanted to standardize onboarding and capacity planning before more teams joined the function. They evaluated three vendors and selected OpoSoft on the strength of the OPO Framework and the time-to-value track record.

The first live workflow — new-hire onboarding, with parallel tracks for IT, finance, and people ops — went into production on day 8 of the engagement, one day inside the 9-day average we publish for new customers.

The stack it sits in

OpoSoft does not displace the systems Ramp already runs. Notion holds the long-form docs, Jira holds engineering work, and Slack is the surface where approvals and status are seen by the rest of the company. OpoSoft orchestrates the cross-system handoffs and holds the audit trail.
